Psychotherapy offers a space to explore and make sense of life’s challenges. These might include difficult experiences, tensions in relationships or the effects of trauma. Lynn Greenwood works with adults and adolescents who want to gain insight into their behavioural and emotional patterns in order to make changes in their lives.
Some enter psychotherapy to seek greater personal and professional fulfilment. Others find themselves trapped in destructive patterns in relationships, including their relationship with themselves. A few may be undertaking psychotherapy training, which itself demands a commitment to intensive personal psychological work. The common thread is a desire to gain a deeper understanding of feelings and responses to people and situations in order to make different choices and lead the richest possible life.
Lynn has substantial experience of complex difficulties, such as eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia and over- and binge eating), DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder), personality disorders and self-harm. She also provides supervision to psychotherapists and counsellors – qualified or in training, individually or in groups – and teaches and writes on a variety of issues.
In addition, she acts as a consultant psychotherapist to the television industry and has worked on more than 60 series, providing psychological assessments and on-going advice, support and management.
